Blimey! How does it work?
First, save your script as a text file. Load the script into PromptBuddy
PromptBuddy shows each prompt on-screen, so you can practise it.
Hit the Space bar to start recording Hit it again to stop. If you accept the recording, the file will be saved and simply renamed according to the words in the script.
If not, simply try again. Keep going to the end of the script. It's that simple. Every prompt recorded, saved and named perfectly.
Will it work on a Mac? Sorry, Mac-fans! You've got a gorgeous computer, but we're PC only for now.
Who are you, anyway? Wells Park Communications has been around for over ten years, and our people have been involved in broadcasting for even longer. We're radio people through and through - which is why we invented the APW!
Can I try before I buy? Of course! Download the trial version for 7 days of audio joy, absolutely free. Then, you'll be overcome with the desire to give us your cash. If you don't want to keep PromptBuddy, just delete it and we'll still all be friends.
Can recorded files be any length? It depends on your computer. We've tested it to over two minutes, enough for most prompts. It won't cope with a whole audio book...
Will it work on any computer? Your license is valid on one PC only. If you change PCs, no problem - email us at support@wellspark.co.uk and we'll transfer your license over. Easy.
What else do I need? PromptBuddy runs on even quite basic PCs. Hook up a microphone and an ADC (analogue to digital converter, which takes your mic signal and converts it into digital stuff). That's it: you're in business.
